TFO Ralph E. Zylka, 48, died when his aircraft crashed in Dodge County three miles northeast of Watertown, Wisconsin. Also killed was Pilot Sung Hui "Sunny" Bang, 31. The crew had just completed a successful search for a suspect who had killed a fellow officer.

Uncle Ralph you are always in my thoughts. I can remember that awful day like it was yesterday. The tears still come at times as hard as the day it happened. You will always be my hero!!!!
