Thoughts and Memories of Stephen Bowman

Steve Bowman was my father. He was the best man I have ever met. He was a great husband, father, friend, Christian and officer. He worked for the Forest Service and in the summers was on the Governors Drug Task Force. He was riding in a National Guard helicopter with a terrific pilot named Charlie Harvey. It is such a tragedy that their deaths could have been avoided. The helicopter had been damaged previously and not properly repaired, The propeller came off as they were returning to the airport. It was found a mile away from the crash site. I miss him every day. I am now in my 30s and have many health problems. I am so grateful to have had him as my father. I am so proud of the way he lived his life and the way he did his job. I love you Dad.
