Aircraft: Augusta 109 Helicopter
Sgt. Tingwall was piloting the NMSP Aircraft on June 9, 2009. Sgt. Tingwall was activated as part of search and rescue mission for a lost hiker in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe, NM. Sgt. Tingwall located the hiker, and had picked her up, and taken off. Weather moved in quickly, and the helicopter crashed at about 11,700 feet on Mount Baldy. Sgt. Tingwall was found two days later.
