2020 Remote Pilot-In-Command Course : Online Learning (September 2020)

APSA's Remote Pilot-In-Command Courses include sixteen (16) hours of training for your UAS staff.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course is designed to provide the student with a review of the Federal Aviation Regulations PART 107 Remote Pilot Certification Process. The course is a must-have for agencies to train their personnel on how to operate sUAS and to obtain pilot certification. This course will prepare the student to successfully take the FAA Pilot’s Exam for this rating. Successful completion requires attendance at all classroom sessions.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:
This course is intended for public safety personnel, both sworn and non-sworn, that are interested in obtaining their FAA Remote Pilot Certificate under FAR PART 107.

Instructor Bio:	ALAN FRAZIER APSA sUAS Liaison Alan Frazier is a 40 year law enforcement veteran having served in federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. The majority of his law enforcement career was spent with the Glendale, California Police Department where he held a wide variety of assignments including SWAT-Hostage Negotiations Element and Air Support Unit supervisor. He recently retired from his positions as a sergeant with the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department, where he supervised the Northeast Region UAS Unit, and as an associate professor at the University of North Dakota where he taught aviation courses. Alan holds an FAA airline transport pilot certificate. He is rated to fly airplanes, helicopters, gliders and small unmanned aircraft.
